We spent most of the day relaxing and reflecting on the past four weeks. I can't believe we're more than half way through - weren't we just in Portugal?
Our morning began in Alexanderplatz, the closest thing to a main square that Berlin has. It is home to an old TV tower that you can go up for panoramic views, as well as a few churches and lot of shopping.
Back at our hostel, we were nose deep on our books (or nooks, rather) and I found myself dozing into a short nap. We enjoyed a fantastic lunner (that's lunch + dinner) at a restaurant - Bale - near our hostel. In this area, by the East Side Galleries, you can really feel the "youth" of the city. There's a lot of street art and unconventional pieces. We stumbled on the small gallery of a phenomenal film photographer - she photographs abandoned buildings, parks, and venues.
